Can blizzard delete my account? (2024)

So, I just came back from my dads (divorced parents) and i tried logging into my wow account, no dice.I even tried to recover my password and it doesn't even recognize the email (battle.net account).To top it off I haven't even recieved an email about anything that happened to my account.So can they actually delete my account like this or did I do something wrong, or is there something up with the log in servers?

Yes they can. No they dont. check the CS forums and follow the instructions in the stickies for account retrieval/compromise.

They most definitely can but I have never heard of them going further than banning someone and in that case it's possible to get the account unlocked.

The thing is, that when I try to retreive my password it doesn't even recognize the email, and I haven't recieved any emails from blizzard

Technically, they CAN delete your account, I would say. But, if it actually happened to you, it would be the first time ever that it happened. That I know of anyhow. So, no, your account was not deleted.

Best thing you can do at this point is call them

Just call them, Blizzard's phone support ppl are incredibly friendly. It's one of their best qualities as a company, honestly. They'll help ya.

*no indication is given at battle.net that this is possible. in fact, the opposite sentiment is expressed: that the merger cannot ever be reversed...ever.

So like I say, that's just a gut reaction and highly improbable to be what happened. But that's what it seems like happened to me.

Do you use an authenticator?

Do any of your friends (or Ex Friends) know your WoW info?

i use different passwords,no I don't have an authenticator, and a few of my friends know my info, but i talk to them almost daily.

I seriously doubt your account was banned without them at least emailing you to inform you... Something must be screwy on their end, email them to find out what exactly is wrong
